Relationship and Individual Therapist
Alana D’Ambrosio, LMFT
Alana D’Ambrosio, LMFT, Founder/Therapist
I am a trauma-informed therapist who helps couples and individuals heal from their relational wounds in order to have fulfilling lives and supportive relationships.
My therapeutic approach can be described at no-nonsense and direct with a sense of tenderness, humor, and flexibility. While I am not your typical soft-voiced, blank-faced therapist, I will create a safe and validating space for you to step into vulnerability, hang out with the emotions you have been running from, and find your voice to express your needs.
My integrative approach draws from various evidence-informed modalities such as:
Relationship Therapy: The Gottman Method of Relationship Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Relational Life Therapy (RLT)
Postmodern Therapy: Narrative Therapy, Solution Oriented Therapy
Humanistic Therapy: Person-Centered Therapy, Satir Change Model
By integrating these approaches, we can tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs and goals. Through our work together, you can expect to gain insight, develop resilience, and cultivate a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. I believe all people have the resources to heal from past wounds. Exploration of our relationships with self and others is a core component of the healing and growing process. As a therapist my job is to create a space of trust which allows for the expression of vulnerability necessary to heal and grow. I am not here to dictate your journey, I am here as a knowledgeable guide to explore the paths of healing and growth.
I am an ally of the LGTBQIA2S+ communities and welcome all personal identifications and relationship configurations. I consider myself a secular therapist and personally identify as agnostic. I welcome all faith backgrounds.

My Lived Experience:
Wife: I have been married for over 7 years and with my husband for over 10. Our relationship has survived long distance, pregnancy loss, infertility treatments, and raising our daughter and son.
Mom: I am a mother of toddler and a preschooler. Our daughter and son were conceived via IVF. It took 5 pregnancies to get our 2 healthy babies.
Lifelong Learner: In my mid-30’s I decided to change careers to follow my passion for helping others. With the support of my family, I left my executive level job and went back to school to follow my passion. I can truly say being a therapist is my calling and what I am meant to be doing in this life.
